How to Compliment a Girl ....
And saying "I think you're cute" ain't it !

Chances are you'll want to compliment a girl (not counting your mother) for one of two reasons:

1. You're dating her and you want to keep dating her, or
2. You're not dating her and you want to start dating her.

Here's how to pay a compliment that stands out amongst the competition's.

  • Compliment her on what counts. "You're beautiful" isn't a compliment. If she really is beautiful, she already knows it. "Nice pair of headlights" isn't a compliment, either.

Instead, make nice about what she's made or done -- not on what God has made. "Stunning dress," "Incredible insight," "Great joke!"

  • Look into her eyes. A guy who compliments a girl on her mind while speaking to her mammaries is either insincere or anatomically illiterate.

  • Don't overdo it. Once is enough. Every compliment after the first one takes away half the value of the compliment that preceded it.

  • Mean it. Women can smell B.S. as fast as you can. False flattery is easy to spot -- so if you say it, mean it. Or practice in the mirror so you sound like you mean it.

  • Don't expect a reward -- yet. If the purpose of your kind words is to get some girl to notice you, try the hit-and-run approach: Compliment, then get the heck out of there.

    Try this out.....

"Hi! My name's Parry. I saw you back there at the Piercing Pagoda and just had to tell you what a great dress that is. It really brings out your eyes. Nice choice. Anyway, gotta go -- see ya around." Next time you see her, smile and wave. If she smiles and waves back, you're in.
